The Greatest Gig of All is a passion project I co-directed with Lauren Smith, who approached me with the idea of creating an experimental music video centered around a live-band cover of “The Great Gig in the Sky.” Together, we developed a film that uses movement, music, and visual metaphor to bring awareness to sexual harassment and assault. Beyond the video itself, the project also became a fundraising effort. I worked alongside Lauren to help raise money by selling awareness bracelets at Forsyth Park, with funds going toward both the production costs and nonprofit organizations connected to the cause. Through the project, we raised over $1,000 separately for organizations including NSVRC, Safe Shelter, and Planned Parenthood. The film later accompanied a live performance of the song, expanding the project beyond the screen and into a shared live experience. We plan to continue fundraising efforts in the name of the project to keep supporting these organizations and the work they do.
